FUNDACIó MIRò

Barcelona, Spain

There are more than ten thousand Joan Mirò works among the collections of the Fundació that bears his name. Since 1975 they have been harboured in a rationalist building designed by Josep Luis Serp, a personal friend of Miró, on the hill of Montjuïc in Barcelona.

Drawings, paintings and sculptures are scattered throughout the two floors of the venue, in which is strictly not allowed to photograph, except on the terraces. The interaction with the works, instead, sometimes borders on excess as seen in one of the pictures of the photoshoot.
